Three Generations of Building Homes the Right Way
For more than 50 years, the Peterson family has believed that building a home is about more than construction. It’s about craftsmanship, honesty, and taking care of the people you’re building for.
That story started when Dave Peterson Sr. built his own home in Everett. What began as one family home eventually grew into Peterson Custom Homes, creating a foundation built on quality workmanship and integrity.
Today, Dave Peterson Jr. continues that family tradition through Built By Design. From custom homes and remodels to additions and renovations, we bring the same attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship to every project.
We believe the best homes are built with intention. Every detail matters, from the first conversation to the final walkthrough.

Our Happy Clients
Built by Design, Dave and Chris helped me to turn my home into a dream home. They listened to me, were very focused and detail oriented. The project finished on time and at our quoted budget.
We added onto my house, creating a new 2 car garage, a new hallway with storage & a skylight, a new additional bathroom, and my dream art studio. I hope the pictures tell the story. I can't recommend this team enough. Cynthia Marker
